To analize the construction of the dress interior, CT scan video were made at the Field Museum of Natural History (Chciago, Ill.).
Subject Description
360 degree rotating CT Scan video revealing the inner workings of the Tree dress (CC.1973.59) designed by Charles James. It shows metal boning supporting the shape of the bodice; three metal hooks and eyes placed to take pressure off the zipper on the back to prevent it to pop open; many small dressmaker pins were left in the dress at the time of its original construction, assumedly by mistake.
