Images depict children in groups, at structured play in classroom or gymnasium situations, and at unstructured play at playgrounds, beaches, or camps (in Delevan, Wisc. and Grays Lake, Ill.). Children are also shown at parties and banquets, participating in theatrical performances, and receiving child care. Also include are images of residents supervising children, and members participating in English or stenographic classes, social functions, theatrical performances, and hobbies (e.g. rugmaking). Includes a few portraits of directors, notably Alfred E. Rath, and early administrators Carrie B. Wilson, Norma Williams and Ellen Holt. Some photoprints are identified and the 1900-1917 album is annotated. Some photonegatives have been printed.
