This unusual evening dress is the Museum's most extreme example of Dior's full-hipped silhouette. The boned understructure supports a system of pleats over the exaggerated hips. The matching one-sleeved wrap has a large hook and eye on the left, attaching it to the strapless dress. The wrap is further supported by a small belt attached with one button.
