Pucci Chicago; Pucci Chicago/ Matthew Hickey III/ March 1974
This suit, made for Matthew Hickey III, a Chicago investment banker, includes a personalized tag. Pucci Chicago was a well-known custom tailoring studio, located in 333 North Michigan Avenue.
In 1928, Pucci became the first business to occupy 333 North Michigan Avenue. Although located just south of the Magnificent Mile proper, the studio's window, branded with the family name, was a Michigan Avenue icon. For more than eighty years, this family-owned business (unaffiliated with the Italian fashion house), created custom-made suits for prominent Chicagoans, such as William Wrigley and Arthur Rubloff, as well as celebrities, including Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
