The large hammer, rifled round barrel, octagonal, at tang, lockplate, two stock bands, lanyard ring, swivel ramrod, butt plate are of steel. The stock cap and trigger guard are made of brass. It has a full length medium stained walnut wood stock. Stamped on lockplate is "Tower/1862 and an English crown mark". It also has a permanently attached swivel ramrod at muzzle mouth.
