This egg-shape souvenir salt shaker was purchased at the Fair by Joseph and Ada Blesh Chandler, who were medical students together at Northwestern University and grandparents of the donor. The salt shaker was made by the Libbey Cut Glass, Toledo, Ohio Company. Makers mark on bottom.
Subject Description
The "1893" on the souvenir indicates the date of the Exposition, which marked the 400th Anniversery of Christopher Columbus's landing in the New World.

Ths egg-shaped glass sounvenir salt shaker with its metal tip is detailed with "Columbian Exposition 1893" and was purchased at the fair by Joseph and Ada Blesh Chandler. Sovenirs such as this were commonplace throughout the exposition.
