Chicago Bulls uniform with #23, worn by donor, Michael Jordan, during the 1989/1990 season.
Michael Jordan was the leader of the Chicago Bulls professional basketball team during the late 1980s and into the mid-1990s. His uniform number was 23. The Bulls have since retired his number 23.
This uniform belonged to Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls were founded in 1966. Despite good players such as Bob Love, Jerry Sloan, and Norm Van Lier, they failed to capture a single NBA Championship until 1991. That year Michael "Air" Jordan, one of the greatest players of all time, and Coach Phil Jackson led the team to the first of six championships during the 1990's including two "three-peats" in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1996, 1997, and 1998. This number 23 jersey was worn by Michael Jordan, and after his retirement from basketball, became a retired number for the Chicago Bull's franchise.
