The donor wore this ensemble from 2004 to June of 2008 at various day and early evening functions both around Chicago and in Europe. She purchased the piece in Antwerp from the design house of Christoph Brioch, one of the leading Dutch contemporary fashion designers.
German-born Christoph Broich studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. This two-piece ensemble was printed with black ink while straight pins were left in the fabric to give the appearance that the dress is still being constructed.
