Dress (a) of off white silk crepe. Sleeveless, with drop waist. Center back zipper closure. Pleated skirt falls to knee. Bodice (b) of off white silk with lace insertions. Worn over dress. Standing collar; long cuffed lace sleeves. Center back snap closure. Hits at hip.
Worn by Marcia Weiner, in April, 1968 to her wedding with Richard L. Goldberg in Chicago. Made as copy of Jackie Kennedy Onassis' wedding dress.
The fine dressmaking techniques make this dress appear as if it is made of two pieces, a skirt and bodice, when it is truly a one-piece dress. Valentino made at least two versions of this dress, the other was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy when she married Aristotle Onassis.
