Dress of black chain mail with gold-colored and silver-colored geometric design. Rhinestone accents. Black satin trim on neckline and cuffs. Padded shoulders. Squared neckline in front, low V in back trimmed with 2 rhinestone brooches. Draped back. Ankle length.
This is part of the Fall/Winter 1985 collection entitled (by the designer) "The Klimt Collection" named after the artist, Gustav Klimt, who worked in Vienna at the turn of the century and had a particular fascination with the decorative possibilities offered by the use of materials such as gold and silver inlay and semi-precious stones arranged in intricate geometric and abstract patterns.
