| Curatorial Statement | Although the mini skirt is a well known part of today's fashion, it was not until the mid-1960s that it first came into fashion. Some credit British designer Mary Quant with the style, others say it was French designer Andr Courrges. Most agree that the length of a mini skirt is to be no longer than four inches below the buttocks and that the style came out of a youth-obsessed culture. |
