Curatorial Statement
The fine dressmaking techniques make this dress appear as if it is made of two pieces, a skirt and bodice, when it is truly a one-piece dress. Valentino made at least two versions of this dress, the other was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy when she married Aristotle Onassis.
